We, Surrey Hills International Music Festival (the Festival), have pleasure in confirming our offer of an engagement as detailed below. You, the Artist, accept the engagement on the terms detailed below, to perform the following, on the date listed and at the fee stated in the schedule hereto.
Will you kindly read the information below, sign and return the attached acceptance form within TEN DAYS of receipt of it. If you need to query any aspect, please contact the Festival without delay and within the ten days.

General Conditions:
The Artist(s) agrees not to perform at any venue within a 20-mile radius for a period of 2 months prior to and 2 months after the performance date unless with the prior written agreement of the Festival.
The Artist(s) agrees to allow discreet photography during rehearsal and performance by the Festival’s photographer solely for the purpose of promotion of the Festival including through its website, social media and the press.
The Festival is entitled to terminate this Agreement forthwith if in the view of the Festival the Artist(s) named above engage in any conduct bringing or likely to bring the Festival into disrepute or otherwise affect prejudicially the Festival’s interests.
If the Artist(s) are unable to fulfil the above engagement, the Festival reserves the right to withhold payment and to replace the Artist(s) at its own discretion.
Neither the persons signing the Agreement on behalf of the Festival nor any present or future trustee, officer or member of the Festival shall incur any personal liability hereunder.
All artists are recommended to have their own personal and public liability insurance.
Neither party shall be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this Agreement where such failure results from “force majeure”.
For the purpose of this Agreement ‘force majeure’ shall be deemed to be any cause affecting the performance of this Agreement arising from or attributable to acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond the reasonable control of either party, and including but not limited to the following:
(a) strikes, lockouts or other industrial action;
(b) civil commotion, riot, invasion, war threat, preparation for war or act of war;
(c) fire, explosion or accident, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic, pandemic, drought, storms or other natural physical disaster;
(d) impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport; and
(e) political interference with normal operations, governmental action, any law or any action taken by a government or public authority.
